Heather Harris Teske, OTD, LOTR

Heather holds a clinical doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She has been practicing as an occupational therapist for over 10 years. She was a co-owner of The Center for Pediatric Therapy in Thibodaux, LA until December 2012 when she transitioned to working in her hometown of New Orleans, LA. 

Heather is certified in the administration and interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT). She has completed an intensive training in Sensory Integration at Pediatric Therapy Network in Torrance, CA where she was mentored by the colleagues of Dr. A. Jean Ayres, the developer of Sensory Integration. She is trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Interactive Metronome, and Handwriting Without Tears. 

Heather emphasizes caregiver participation and education when working with her clients. She enjoys collaborating with other professionals and families to provide comprehensive care to meet the needs of each individual child.


Heather is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

​​​Julia Glucksman, MOT, LOTR

​Julia is native to Los Angeles, CA. She received her Master’s in Occupational Therapy in 2014 at the University of St. Augustine in Southern California. Upon graduation, she started working at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA for over a year as a pediatric OT. Julia is excited to move to New Orleans and continue to empower the lives of children and their families.

Julia has an extensive background with a variety of children via pediatric clinics, summer camps, babysitting, teaching and tutoring, and volunteering. Through her work at Woman’s Hospital, Julia has gained unique experience with aquatic therapy, sensory, handwriting, feeding, motor skills, and more. She is trained in the Handwriting Without Tears program and taught handwriting classes for Kindergarten and 1st grade. 

Julia has a passion for helping kids process sensory information. She strives to look at each individual child from a holistic perspective and integrate all aspects of development into her therapy. She encourages caregiver and family participation to enhance the therapy. 

Julia is committed to her work and enjoys the strong bonds with children and families. She brings a lot of positive energy to each session. Julia loves to travel and explore areas around New Orleans. When she isn’t traveling or playing with kids, you can probably catch her watching a sports game cheering on the Michigan State Spartans, UCLA Bruins, and LSU Tigers!
