Heather Harris Teske, OTD, LOTR

Heather holds a clinical doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She has been practicing as an occupational therapist for over 15 years. She was a co-owner of The Center for Pediatric Therapy in Thibodaux, LA until December 2012 when she transitioned to working in her hometown of New Orleans, LA. 

Heather is certified in the administration and interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT). She has completed an intensive training in Sensory Integration at Pediatric Therapy Network in Torrance, CA where she was mentored by the colleagues of Dr. A. Jean Ayres, the developer of Sensory Integration. She is trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Interactive Metronome, and Handwriting Without Tears. 

Heather emphasizes caregiver participation and education when working with her clients. She enjoys collaborating with other professionals and families to provide comprehensive care to meet the needs of each individual child.


Heather is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
